Some Thoughts On “Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior”
Every parent has his or her unique parenting quotes, tips, and advice style whether Chinese or Western. I feel resentful that the writer writes as if she represented all Chinese mothers. In fact, some Chinese mothers who are courageous to transcend their cultural and economic limitations raise their children in a very repectful way. Their children turned out to be wonderful human beings, academically excellent, artistically promising, respectful of self and others, and socially adept.
Parenting aside, there is no reason for anyone to write such an article or book that is so condescending and could cause a racial tension or resentment. If the author learned any repect for anybody while growing up, she is definitely not showing that?
